Stakeholder Feedback Round for GS4GG for Selex Smart Electric Vehicles Project

Dear Stakeholders,

Selex Smart Electric Vehicle Joint Stock Company is the project owner of the Selex Smart Electric Vehicle Project. The project involves the sale and monitor of around 90,000 smart electric vehicles across the Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh city area, starting from 2024. The project aims to replace traditional motorbikes and two-wheeler vehicles to electric motorbikes, contributing to environmental protection and aligning with sustainable development goals.

The project owner is now cooperating with Viet Nam PoA Carbon Management JSC (PoA Carbon) and United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in developing and registering the Gold Standard for the Global Goals (GS4GG) for Selex Smart Electric Vehicles Project to generate high quality carbon credits. We are now conducting the Stakeholder Feedback Round as per GS4GG – Stakeholder Consultation and Engagement Requirements, and hereby invite your comments and feedback on the project.

Please give your valuable comments and suggestions within 60 days from the published date of this invitation by sending an e-mail to project participants (loannt@selex.vn, office@poacarbon.vn) with a copy marked to the Gold Standard (help@goldstandard.org). You can also leave your comments on the Continuous Input / Grievance Expression Process Book it was introduced in the attached documents.

PoA Carbon supports UNDP in conducting research on Vietnam’s compliance with CORSIA

Recently, PoA Carbon Vietnam Joint Stock Company (PoA Carbon) was honored to be selected by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Vietnam as the consulting unit to conduct a study assessing the compliance level of Vietnam’s aviation sector with the regulations of CORSIA (Carbon Offsetting and Reduction Scheme for International Aviation). This marks an important milestone, affirming PoA Carbon’s expertise and position in the field of climate change mitigation and greenhouse gas emission reduction in Vietnam. Within the project framework, PoA Carbon will collaborate with international and domestic experts to carry out a series of in-depth research and consultancy activities, including: a comprehensive assessment of CORSIA’s impact on Vietnam’s aviation sector; analysis of compliance options, focusing on the use of domestic carbon credits; and review of the potential for domestic carbon credits and emission reduction outcomes to meet CORSIA requirements. Based on these findings, PoA Carbon will provide policy and legal recommendations and propose an effective compliance roadmap for Vietnam’s participation in the CORSIA mechanism. Additionally, PoA Carbon will coordinate technical workshops, stakeholder consultations, and consolidate feedback to finalize the project deliverables. The project is expected to last three months, from June to the end of August 2025.
