From 29/07 to 31/07/2024, on site validation has been carried out for Selex Smart Electric Vehicle project as part of its pursuit for the Gold Standard certification. This is a mandatory step, involving thorough examination of the project’s environmental and social impacts to ensure it meets the stringent criteria of the Gold Standard.
The validation team, comprising independent expert from CTI Certification (China), conducted in-depth assessments of various aspects of the project, including its contribution to GHG emissions reduction, the positive social and economic impacts on local communities, and the project's overall sustainability. The onsite validation was carried out in Selex’s Ha Noi office, manufacturing plant and Ho Chi Minh branch.

The project, a collaboration between United Nations Development Programme in Vietnam and Selex Motors, aims to generate emission reduction by replacing traditional gasoline-powered motorbikes with electric motorbikes. By promoting electric mobility, the project not only helps to improve air quality but also supports Vietnam's commitment to achieving net-zero emissions by 2050.
