Chương trình Phát triển Liên Hợp Quốc (UNDP) tổ chức Hội thảo tổng kết Dự án Phát triển dự án tín chỉ các-bon thí điểm trong lĩnh vực giao thông vận tải tạo động lực tài chính cho phát triển các giải pháp giao thông phát thải thấp tại Hà Nội vào ngày 3 tháng 12 năm 2024. Hội thảo hướng tới đối tượng là cơ quan nhà nước liên quan, các hiệp hội, tổ chức và các doanh nghiệp tham gia vào thị trường các-bon trong lĩnh vực giao thông vận tải.

Sáng kiến này là một trong những nỗ lực của UNDP nhằm hỗ trợ Việt Nam đạt được các cam kết khí hậu theo Thỏa thuận Paris, và mục tiêu phát thải ròng bằng 0 vào năm 2050.UNDP hợp tác với Selex Motors - đơn vị sản xuất xe máy điện trong nước, phát triển dự án tín chỉ các-bon đầu tiên cho xe máy điện tại Việt Nam để tham gia vào thị trường các-bon, nhằm tạo động lực tài chính để thúc đẩy đầu tư vào giao thông vận tải phát thải thấp. Dự án thí điểm đã hoàn thành quá trình thẩm định quốc tế và đệ trình thành công yêu cầu đăng ký lên Cơ quan đăng ký Tiêu chuẩn Vàng (Gold Standard).

Hội thảo tổng kết diễn ra từ 8h30 đến 12:00 ngày 03 tháng 12 năm 2024 tại khách sạn Adonis – 55 Quang Trung, Hai Bà Trưng, Hà Nội. Mục đích chính của hội thảo là giới thiệu về dự án thí điểm do UNDP và Selex Motors triển khai, đồng thời chia sẻ các bài học và kinh nghiệm rút ra từ quá trình phát triển dự án tín chỉ các-bon trong lĩnh vực giao thông vận tải.

On April 15, 2026, in Da Nang, the Department of Climate Change (Ministry of Agriculture and Environment), in collaboration with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and PoA Carbon Vietnam Joint Stock Company, organized a workshop titled “Strengthening Capacity for Participation in Vietnam’s Carbon Market”. The event brought together representatives from government agencies, experts, and the business community in Central Vietnam - key stakeholders in the pilot phase of the carbon market for 2025-2026.

Recently, PoA Carbon Vietnam Joint Stock Company (PoA Carbon) was honored to be selected by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Vietnam as the consulting unit to conduct a study assessing the compliance level of Vietnam’s aviation sector with the regulations of CORSIA (Carbon Offsetting and Reduction Scheme for International Aviation). This marks an important milestone, affirming PoA Carbon’s expertise and position in the field of climate change mitigation and greenhouse gas emission reduction in Vietnam. Within the project framework, PoA Carbon will collaborate with international and domestic experts to carry out a series of in-depth research and consultancy activities, including: a comprehensive assessment of CORSIA’s impact on Vietnam’s aviation sector; analysis of compliance options, focusing on the use of domestic carbon credits; and review of the potential for domestic carbon credits and emission reduction outcomes to meet CORSIA requirements. Based on these findings, PoA Carbon will provide policy and legal recommendations and propose an effective compliance roadmap for Vietnam’s participation in the CORSIA mechanism. Additionally, PoA Carbon will coordinate technical workshops, stakeholder consultations, and consolidate feedback to finalize the project deliverables. The project is expected to last three months, from June to the end of August 2025.
